How fees work

Tumble is a self-pay practice. Each answer is here in plain words, and Kevin goes through yours before your first visit.

  • If you pay yourself

You pay for each visit yourself, on the day. We tell you what to expect before you book, and Kevin confirms it in writing. We do not bill Medicare or other plans. Aubrey sets the fee for a visit by its length and what it includes, not by what your baby needs. Ask Kevin about reduced-fee spots; we keep a few open each month.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

After each visit we give you a detailed receipt, called a superbill, that you can send to your plan. Your plan decides whether it reimburses you, and it may not, so ask your plan before you rely on it.

  • An estimate in advance

Before your first visit we send you a written estimate, called a Good Faith Estimate, of what we expect your care to cost. It is your right under federal law, and you can ask for a new one any time your plan of care changes. If a bill comes to $400 or more above your estimate, you can start a payment dispute process, and we will show you how.

  • Checking your benefits

Because we do not bill your plan, we do not check your benefits. If you want to know whether your plan reimburses visits like these, call the number on your card and ask about out-of-network physical therapy. Kevin can tell you what to ask, and give you the codes on your receipt.

  • What the first visit includes

The first visit is about an hour with Aubrey, a physical therapist. She listens, watches your baby play, explains what she sees and the choices, and agrees on a plan with you. She also tells you the risks. You leave with a few ideas to try at home.

Questions about paying

Do you take Medicare or other plans?

We do not bill Medicare or other plans. You pay for each visit yourself, and we give you a detailed receipt after each visit.

Will my plan pay me back?

It may, or it may not. Your plan decides, and plans differ. Ask the number on your card about out-of-network physical therapy before your first visit.

Can I use a health savings account?

Many families do. Ask your plan administrator what they accept as proof, and Kevin will give you what you need from us.

Are there reduced-fee visits?

Yes. We keep a few open each month for families who need them. Ask Kevin, and he will tell you how it works.

Want to know what to expect?

Call Kevin, or ask for your written estimate when you book.
